My Review:
At first, I wasn't to thrilled to read Uglies, like who cares if you're pretty or ugly! The main reason, was that I had to read it for school. It was the newest book on the list, so I read it. I can honestly say that it was one of the best books that I have ever read.
We have Tally. Her sixteenth birthday is just months away, and all her friends have turned pretty and live in New Pretty Town. All Tally wants is to be pretty. Then, she pulls a stunt, and while escaping, she meets Shay. Shay and Tally share a birthday, and will turn pretty together. One problem:Shay doesn't want to turn pretty. There's also David, the leader of a rebellious town outside the city, called The Smoke. Refugees who don't want to go through the operation go...read the book to see how Tally, Shay, David, and The Smoke are connected.
Uglies had the most interesting plot. Its not everyday where you here about getting an operation to become super-model gorgeous at sixteen. Also, the way the cities and ugly dorms run is just so weird, but it keeps the book captivating.
The only thing is that towards the begginning, the book may seem confusing. You may not know what a hoverboard or interface ring is but you'll find out. Same with Pretties-review will be up soon(when I finish).
Here are the Series in Order:
Uglies
Pretties
Specials
Extras-sort of an extension, Tally, Shay, and no previous characters are really involved, I heard.
Overall Grade-A
So, add this to your TBR pile today!
