I didn't read much. But I'm back with new reviews!
<div style="color: red; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Description: Everybody gets to be supermodel gorgeous. What could be wrong with that? <div style="color: red; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Tally is about to turn sixteen, and she can't wait. Not for her license -- for turning pretty. In Tally's world, your sixteenth birthday brings an operation that turns you from a repellent ugly into a stunningly attractive pretty and catapults you into a high-tech paradise where your only job is to have a really great time. In just a few weeks Tally will be there.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> But Tally's new friend Shay isn't sure she wants to be pretty. She'd rather risk life on the outside. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the pretty world -- and it isn't very pretty. The authorities offer Tally the worst choice she can imagine: find her friend and turn her in, or never turn pretty at all. The choice Tally makes changes her world forever.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review:
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">At first, I wasn't to thrilled to read Uglies, like who cares if you're pretty or ugly!The main reason, was that I had to read it for school. It was the newest book on the list, so I read it. I can honestly say that it was one of the best books that I have ever read.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">We have Tally. Her sixteenth birthday is just months away, and all her friends have turned pretty and live in New Pretty Town. All Tally wants is to be pretty. Then, she pulls a stunt, and while escaping, she meets Shay. Shay and Tally share a birthday, and will turn pretty together. One problem:Shay doesn't want to turn pretty. There's also David, the leader of a rebellious town outside the city, called The Smoke. Refugees who don't want to go through the operation go...read the book to see how Tally, Shay, David, and The Smoke are connected.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Uglies had the most interesting plot. Its not everyday where you here about getting an operation to become super-model gorgeous at sixteen. Also, the way the cities and ugly dorms run is just so weird, but it keeps the book captivating.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The only thing is that towards the begginning, the book may seem confusing. You may not know what a hoverboard or interface ring is but you'll find out. Same with Pretties-review will be up soon(when I finish).

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Here are the Series in Order:
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Uglies
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Pretties
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Specials
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Extras-sort of an extension, Tally, Shay, and no previous characters are really involved, I heard.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Overall Grade-A
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">So, add this to your TBR pile today!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They're even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Then Jordan dumps Courtney -- for a girl he met on the Internet.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney's heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la -- this is Courtney pretending not to care.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review-
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Two Way Street was a very descriptive, emotional book. Now Caitlin is left alone, by loss and by choice, struggling to find renewed hope in the wake of her best friend's suicide. With the help of family and newfound friends, Caitlin will encounter first love, broaden her horizons, and start to realize that true friendship didn't die with Ingrid. And the journal which once seemed only to chronicle Ingrid's descent into depression, becomes the tool by which Caitlin once again reaches out to all those who loved Ingrid - and Caitlin herself.

<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review-
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Hold Still was a very good, descriptive, interesting book. I found it quite unique to be honest with you. It wasn't your average book. Hold Still is so much more than that.
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">It starts when Caitlin's best and only friend, Ingrid commits suicide. Caitlin has no one to turn to and just sits in her car, doing homework, and sleeping. Then she meets Dylan. Dylan moved due to her father's job and befriends Caitlin. Caitlin's life gets a bit better from there. Then she finds Ingrid's journal. She wants to keep Ingrid alive through it so she doesnt read much a day. Caitlin still feels alone though, after she gets into a fight with Dylan.
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> I liked the characters. They were all different. Caitlin is that quiet girl, with only a couple of close friends. Dylan, a lesbian who wears dark make-up and clothes. Taylor, Caitlin's boyfriend, and skater. And Maddy, Dylan's girlfriend, the actress. I found them all unique in their own way.
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Hold Still really put me in Caitlin's place. Even though I haven't lost anyone, I still understood what it felt like to lose someone close to you. You feel trapped, like you have no one to talk to. But then you realize you aren't the only one who was close to that person. And that you should grieve with the others, and then you're not alone anymore.
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Grade-A+

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Overall- A very unique, enjoyable book. I highly reccommend it.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Cover- I love the cover. Its one of the reasons I bought the book!
<span style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Sydneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07402194960708617838noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5685621905837327714.post-50590198154541281542010-06-22T08:55:00.000-07:002010-06-22T08:55:36.524-07:00My Invisible Boyfriend by Susie Day

<span style="color: cyan; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Review-This book was very interesting. It had a unique plot, following Heidi, whom creates an invisible boyfriend to please her friends. This creates all kinds of trouble in her life, and she needs to get rid of him.

Heidi was a very likable character. She was very funny, too. Ludo is Heidi's very girly friend. Dai is one of Heidi's other friends. Then there is Fili, the emo girl who is still a good friend. Last is Ed Hartley, the sympathetic, motorcycle-riding, invisible boyfriend. The characters were all well-developed.

There was only one annoying thing in this book:when Heidi says things like:

OUT.
STAN.

All in all, it was a light and fun read!If you have some time to pick it up, you should.
You will enjoy it.

Overall-A good, light read.

Cover-LOVE IT!Heidi is so pretty!

Grade-B+/A-

I’ll tell her, okay? Just let me think about the best way to do it.”
“Okay.”
“Promise me? Promise you won’t say anything?”
“Don’t worry.” I laughed. “It’s our secret, right?”
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">According to Anna’s best friend, Frankie, twenty days in Zanzibar Bay is the perfect opportunity to have a summer fling, and if they meet one boy every day, there’s a pretty good chance Anna will find her first summer romance. Anna lightheartedly agrees to the game, but there’s something she hasn’t told Frankie–she’s already had her romance, and it was with Frankie’s older brother, Matt, just before his tragic death one year ago.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">TWENTY BOY SUMMER explores what it truly means to love someone, what it means to grieve, and ultimately, how to make the most of every beautiful moment life has to offer.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review-
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Twenty Boy Summer is an AMAZING< OUTSTANDING< WONDERFUL book!!!!!!Words cannot describe how much I adore that book!!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Anna is great. She is the cautious friend out of her and Frankie. She doesn't wear a lot of make-up or do anything wild. Frankie, is the exact opposite of Anna. This doesn't stop them from being best friends though. Matt, Frankie's older brother is a nice boy, older than Anna and Frankie, and its a a shame that he dies. The characters were very well-developed.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> I like the storyline, its different and nice. From cover to cover this book was so good!♥
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I recommend it to everyone! If you love friendship, romance, and Zanzibar Bay, read this book!!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review- This book was very interesting and fun to read. Although some parts were very confusing, I liked it.
<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Mary is a likable character. She can be selfish, but she usually isn't. She went through a lot of things in this book and I thought that some of the other characters should have given her a break! Cass is Mary's best friend. She was nice, but she was always thinking inside of the box(or village), she did not care about another world outside of the unconsecrated. Jed, Mary's brother is okay, I personally didn't agree with some of his decisions, but whatever. Travis and Harry both love Marry. Personally, I liked Travis better, but you never know....
<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> The main plot was that Mary knew there was a world outside of the village, and its how she finds clues to that other world. There were many other tiny problems developing throughout the book. That made it confusing in my opinion.
<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> All in all, this book is worth your time. Its only flaw is that some parts were unclear, whether Mary was dreaming it or not. Also, certain action-filled parts were hard to follow. If I were you I would still read it. It was amazing!
<div style="color: lime; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps, and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town’s oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review-
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Beautiful Creatures is an amazing book, its a teensy bit like Twilight, but the two cannot be compared.
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> I loved all of the characters, from Ethan to even Macon Ravenwood. Ethan and Lena were both strong-willed, and attracted to each other, somehow. They find a locket that was from Ethan's relative to Lena's. Whenever they touch the locket they can go back to the time where Greenbrier, the next town over, next to Gatlin, was burned in 1885. Lena is a caster, meaning she has special powers that allow her to do certain things that mortals cannot. All in all, the characters were well-developed and I felt a connection with all of them.
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> The plot of this book was similiar to that of Twilight. Boy meets girl, but girl has powers. The twist that Garcia and Stohl put on Beautiful Creatures was so amazing, it doesn't compare to Twilight. There were so many little plots that had to do with the main plot, but if I told you, it could spoil the book for you.
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> This book is the first in The Caster Chronicles series and let me tell you, I cannot wait until the second book, Beautiful Darkness comes out. October 12th!!!!I highly recommend Beautiful Creatures to anyone who loves romantic stories with alittle bit of magic.
I just lay in my bed, my head inches from the open window, the thick, humid late June air blowing against my skin like hot breath.
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<i style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Waiting.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Nina was beautiful, wild & adored by her younger sister, Ellie. But, one day, Nina disappeared. 2 years later, everyone has given up hope that Nina will return, but Ellie knows her sister is out there. If only Ellie had a clue where to look. Then she gets one, in the form of a mysterious drawing. Determined to find Nina, Ellie takes off on a crazy, sexy, cross-country road trip with the only person who believes she's got a chance - her hot, adventurous new crush. Along the way, Ellie finds a few things she wasn't planning on. Like love. Lies. And the most shocking thing of all: the truth.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review-
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">This book was sort of dissapointing in the beginning, when nothing happens, but as you read more, the better the book gets!Wherever Nina Lies was a great novel full of unexpected secrets, lies, and not to mention, beautiful drawings by Nina Wrigley.
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I liked Ellie. She was a very interesting character. Ellie loved Nina so much, and I am glad that she never gave up looking for her, even if her best friend insisted on it. Also, she was clever towards the end, just like Nina. Nina was a very likable character. Even though she is only really talked about in the book, she has done a lot of interesting things. Sean, Ellie's crush is funny and sweet. I liked him, he wasn't horrible, but sometimes he acted a little bit weird....
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I liked the way this book was always giving you clues, making it suspenseful and fun to guess some of the things going on. Mysteries always do that, but this one took it to a whole new level for me. Some of my predictions were right, others wrong, but hey, it doesn't really matter does it?
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">There was nothing annoying in this book, although the ending could be obvious to some people.
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">In all, Wherever Nina Lies was an amazing book that you should add to your TBR pile ASAP! Whether you like mysteries or not, you will go head over heels for Wherever Nina Lies by Lynn Weingarten!
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Overall Opinion-This was a great book I enjoyed to read. Its part mystery, and part romance, which I absolutely loved and couldn't stop reading and wanting more! Add Wherever Nina Lies to your TBR pile now!!!!
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Cover- I really like the cover of this book. It is very fitting and I adore the way the letters look. I also cannot resist the background, which is made to look like a map. I love it!
I started it and it sounded really exciting and thrilling, but nothing happened. The things they did weren't explained well and I felt no connection what so ever to Kat, the main character. I am writing this review(or paragraph) to save you the trouble of picking up this book. Personally, I thought it was horrible, but I don't doubt Ally Carter. I heard her other book-Cross my heart, For I will Spy is very good, so I will be reading that instead of Heist Society.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Description-Alison Cole’s got it all: She’s gorgeous, dating a steamy surfer boy, and has just been crowned Beverly Hills High Freshman Class President. Then during a special “symmetry” surgery, a lightning bolt zaps her, and Alison instantly transforms into Hottie—that is, a totally sizzling superhero with the power to shoot fire from her fingers!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shunned as a Pyro-Freak, Alison must adopt dorky David Eels as her crime-fi ghting sidekick. Worse, she’s falling for the one guy who wants to “extinguish” her forever, Junior Class President of Cuteness— and wannabe fi refi ghter—T. Hull. But she doesn’t realize that a supervillain’s lurking. . . .
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Has Hottie met her match?
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">My Review-
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> The first part of Hottie was boring. I ALMOST was going to return it to the library, but I was determined to finish it. The farther I got in it, the better the book got! I am very glad it got better, I hate to leave a book unread!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Alison isn't what she is stereotyped as-a snotty, popular girl. I found Alison nice, but at first she was oblivious that her friends, Kellyn and Dorinda were abusing her by making her get surgery when she didn't need it. Another character was David Eels, the dorky kid. At first he is a dorky kid, but then him and Alison get to know each other and they become friends. Lastly, Alison's evil, manipulating step-mother-Carmen. Carmen was horrible, then nice, then evil. You only appreciate her in the middle. Its sad that she's so mean when she can be so nice at times.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> The plot was well explained and written. Its basically how Alison fights crime. The lesson was clear also, being popular isn't important, mainly because some of your friends secretly may hate you. I'm not sure if I got the lesson right, it can be explained better, but in a nutshell, that's it.
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> There was nothing that bothered me in Hottie, besides the boring beginning. Even though it was boring, the book was still amazing!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> In all, Hottie was a very good book. I recommend it to anyone who likes super heroes!!Even it you don't, Hottie is a wonderful, well-written story you will enjoy whether you like super heroes or not!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Overall Opinion- Hottie was a great book. Read it, you will make it through the slightly boring beginning. You will love Alison and David's wild, crime-fighting full adventures!So read Hottie!
<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Cover-I like the cover. The pink swirls and picture of Alison show her girly side, but the flaming letters and her costume and necklace show her Hottie side!Awesome cover!
Do good things and you'll be rewarded, do something bad and Karma will make sure you get what you deserve. But when Maddy’s boyfriend cheats on her, nothing bad comes his way. That’s why Maddy starts the Karma Club, to clean up the messes that the universe has left behind. Sometimes, though, it isn’t wise to meddle with the universe. It turns out Karma often has plans of its own.

<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I have been waiting quite some time to get my hands on this book, so I was very excited and had high hopes for it. Luckily, my hopes werent so high that I hated it, I wound up loving it!
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> The main character Madison Kasparkova is a hilarious, wise, and funny character. There are times I would be reading in class and just start laughing!She was absolutely hard to hate in the book. I loved her friends too. At first Angie was annoying, but I loved her at the end.
Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father… until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms – first love, the love between parents and children – that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts… and heal them.

Review-

I thought this book was great! It was a heartwarming story about love, friendships, and family.I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good book.

Ronnie Miller is not a bad person. She has shop-lifted once, but realized she was wrong. She stays at late a clubs, but doesn't drink or do drugs. Everything about her is dark...but her soul. She acts very angrily at her dad, until she meets Will, a charming, "southern" boy. They take walks on the beach, go fishing, and visit the aquarium, where Will volunteers. Her summer is getting better and better. That is until secrets and lies are revealed.

When Ronnie meets Marcus and Blaze, things go towards the worst. Blaze puts unpurchased items in Ronnie's bag and Marcus has something against Will. After seeing the movie and reading the book, I did not like Marcus one bit. She did some bad things though.

Personally, I thought the book was very memorable, but there certain parts that were a bit boring. Sides are being chosen and war is imminent.

The first in a breathtaking saga about teens battling each other and their darkest selves, gone is a page-turning thriller that will make you look at the world in a whole new way.

My Review-

The second I opened this book I could not stop reading it. It was so amazing that it only took me two weeks to read it! I recently bought the second book in the series called hunger. You should definitely read Gone though, it is an amazing book that I hope you will enjoy.

Sam Temple is the intelligent and resourceful main character in this book. He saves a little girl from a fire and everyone wants him to lead them until the adults are back. I liked Sam because he was a very modest character. He does all of these amazing things and acts like they were nothing. A character I did not like to much was Drake Merwin. Him and Caine are trying to take over Perdido Beach(the setting) so they can be in charge of everyone in it. He was very evil(Drake). He has no care for anyone but himself and all he does is hurt people.Personally, I didn't like him or Caine.

I thought Gone was a very well-written, suspenseful book. There weren't spelling errors that I usually find in books. Also, every time I put it down I had to make time to read it again.
